Cookie Policy

Last Updated: May 12, 2026

Beta Launch Notice: Yummistic is currently in beta. This Cookie Policy describes our current practices and may be updated as our platform evolves. We are committed to transparency regarding how we use cookies and other tracking technologies.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit our website. They help us recognize you, remember your preferences, and enhance your browsing experience. Cookies are widely used across the internet to provide functionality and analytics.

At Yummistic, we use cookies to:

  • Keep you logged in during your session
  • Remember your preferences and settings
  • Understand how you use our platform
  • Improve our services based on user behavior
  • Deliver personalized content and features
  • Protect your account from unauthorized access

2. Types of Cookies We Use

We currently use the following categories of cookies on the Yummistic platform:

Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the core functionality of our platform. Without them, you would not be able to log in, access your meal plans, or use key features. These are required for security and proper operation.

  • Session cookies (authentication tokens)
  • Security cookies (CSRF protection)
  • Preference cookies for platform settings

Preference Cookies

These cookies remember your choices to provide a personalized experience. They store preferences such as language selection, theme preferences, and other settings you configure.

  • Theme and display preferences
  • Language and localization settings
  • Dietary restriction preferences
  • Default recipe categories

Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how you interact with Yummistic. We use this data to identify usage patterns, improve feature design, and troubleshoot issues. This information helps us build a better platform for all users. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

  • Page visits and navigation tracking
  • Feature usage analytics
  • Error and performance tracking
  • Session duration and engagement metrics

3. Third-Party Cookies & Services

We use trusted third-party service providers to help us deliver analytics and improve our platform. These third parties operate under privacy agreements and are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes we specify.

Third-party services we currently use include:

  • Analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Content delivery networks (CDNs) for performance
  • Email service providers for transactional emails
  • Google reCAPTCHA v3 (spam and bot protection on forms)

Google reCAPTCHA v3: We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on forms such as our Contact Us and Partner Application pages to protect against spam and automated abuse. reCAPTCHA v3 operates entirely in the background — it does not show a challenge — but it does collect hardware and software information, mouse movements, and other behavioral signals, and sends this data to Google. This data is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

These third parties may have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies to understand how they collect and use information.

4. Managing Cookies

When you first visit Yummistic, you may be presented with a cookie consent banner allowing you to accept, reject non-essential cookies, or manage cookie preferences where available.

You have the right to control cookies on your device. Most web browsers allow you to:

  • View and delete cookies stored on your device
  • Block cookies from specific websites
  • Block all cookies by default and allow specific sites
  • Clear cookies when you close your browser
  • Disable JavaScript or use private browsing modes

Important: If you disable essential cookies, you may not be able to access certain features of Yummistic or log into your account. Some functionality may be limited or unavailable without these cookies.

For browser-specific cookie controls, please refer to your browser’s official privacy or settings documentation.

5. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" feature that sends a signal to websites indicating you do not want to be tracked. Currently, there is no industry standard for how "Do Not Track" signals should be handled.

Yummistic does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals in a way that would disable cookies or tracking technologies. However, you can use your browser settings to control cookies as described in Section 4 above. We are committed to monitoring developments in this area and will update our practices as standards evolve.

6. Updates to This Policy

As Yummistic continues to evolve during our beta phase, we may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

Where required by law, we will request updated consent for material changes to our cookie practices. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
